Our Mission
What looks to be a barn full of cast off clothing and household goods is really a gallery of furniture, clothing, household utensils, books and seasonal necessities available to the public at a much-reduced price. The Bargain Barn thrift store generates a small income for H.O.M.E. but the real payoff is the happy faces of those who find something within their budget that they really need or want. For those in the deepest need we provide clothing and the essentials for living free and graciously.
Donations to the Bargain Barn are accepted by appointment only. Please call 207-469-3102 to set up a day and time to drop off your donation. We ask folks to please understand that there are times when the Bargain Barn is full and donations cannot be accepted due to lack of space.
The Bargain Barn is not able to accept the following items at any time:
- Car Safety Seats
- Used Mattresses
- Outdated Televisions
- Outdated Appliances
- Used Undergarments
- Weapons

What we do...
Thrift
Like many thrift stores, The Bargain Barn has an ever-changing inventory. From shoes/clothing to furniture and other household items, you never know what treasures you may find.
Donate
The Bargain Barn is possible thanks to generous donations from our community. Donations to the Bargain Barn are accepted by appointment only. Please call 207-469-3102 between the hours of 9 am – 3 pm Monday through Friday to set up a day and time to drop off your donation.
Assistance
For those in the deepest need we provide clothing and the essentials for living, free and graciously. Starting over after a fire or any other tragedy can be a huge financial burden. H.O.M.E. is here for our community by providing vouchers to the Bargain Barn for those in need.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering at the Bargain Barn could involve working the cash register, sorting donations, stocking shelves or pricing items. If you are looking for an opportunity to help your community, let us know.
